Less than 1% of physical therapists worldwide have the title FAAOMPT in their credentials. It stands for Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. It means you’ve completed 3-5 years of training beyond a doctorate degree, including 2 years of coursework and another 1-3 years of one-to-one advanced mentoring.

Dr. David completed his one-to-one mentoring with world-renowned experts in the manual physical therapy field.

Since completing his fellowship training several years ago, he has continued his own education by training with leading thought experts in the field.

Shirley Sahrmann is a US physical therapist that has authored 2 textbooks that are arguably the most cutting edge in diagnosing and treating movement disorders.

Laurie Hartman is a British osteopathic doctor and industry leader in diagnosing and treating spine problems using hands-on techniques.

TEACHER

Teaching has always been a passion for Dr. David. Even with other physical therapists! He does not hold back in teaching any therapist willing to learn about his approaches to healing back pain problems.

Since he graduated from physical therapy school, he has done guest lectures in many university doctoral programs for physical therapists. He was a professor in orthopedic physical therapy at the University of Texas at El Paso prior to building El Paso Manual Physical Therapy.

Many student physical therapists have trained under Dr. David on their way to completing their doctoral degrees. He has also successfully trained several physical therapists through the rigorous advanced post-doctoral fellowship training that less than 1% of physical therapists in the world complete.

In the past 12 months, Dr. David taught 8 continuing education courses right here in El Paso for local physical therapists, occupational therapists, and massage therapists looking to improve their skills in helping patients heal naturally and avoid surgery.

All the funds raised from the last 8 courses were donated to El Paso physical therapy student scholarships to help them pay for their physical therapy school.

Dr. David’s combination of influences, training, and evolution of treatment approaches has been put on display through YouTube and other areas of the internet.

People from all over the United States have traveled to El Paso, Texas to be consulted by Dr. David and get his expertise on helping their back pain problem without surgery.

In the past 18 months, we’ve even had visitors from Mexico, Canada, Brazil, Peru, El Salvador, and more.

In January 2023, Dr. David began doing Virtual Consultations to allow people from greater distances to access his expertise. Now he weekly consults people in England, Australia, India, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Poland, Hong Kong, and more.
